Cameron Brown is a percussion educator, composer, and arranger based in Dallas, TX. He holds a Master of Music (M.M.) in Percussion Performance from The Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Music Education from The University of North Texas.

Brown is an in-demand front ensemble arranger for bands across the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. As a composer, his works have been commissioned for ensembles performing at major events such as PASIC and The Midwest Clinic. In 2019, he won the Great Plains International Marimba Composition Contest with his piece “Fleet”, written for solo marimba and percussion quartet.

As a private lesson instructor, Brown's students consistently earn placements in TMEA All-Region, Area, and All-State Bands. They have also gone on to perform with Drum Corps International (DCI), have advanced in international solo competitions, and been have admitted as music majors with scholarship to prestigious universities across the country.

Since 2019 Brown has instructed the front ensemble at McKinney Boyd HS. In 2022 the ensemble advanced to the UIL State Marching Contest for the first time in school history. From 2016 to 2019, Brown served as a front ensemble instructor for The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, and from 2012 to 2015 was a front ensemble member of The Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.

Brown has studied under many renowned percussion educators, including John W. Parks IV, Robert Schietroma, Mark Ford, Christopher Deane, Paul Rennick, Ed Smith, Jose Aponte, Poovalur Sriji, Gideon Alorwoyie, Kevin Shah, Mike Jackson, and Ralph Hardimon. He is an active member of the Percussive Arts Society and the Texas Music Educators Association.
